Always presume that all cables are energized

Do not overload your connection

Always presume that all cables are energized  and obey electrical safety signs

Do not use power equipment outside when working in damp grounds or raining

Install Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter instead of ordinary outlet in the kitchen and in the bathroom

Do not use electrical appliances when wet or while standing on damp floor

Install GFCI on outdoor outlets

Do not try to cut trees or leaves if they are reaching the distribution lines or will contact them if cut

Orient yourself with the place and operation of your branch controls. It can be that you need to manually switch off them in case of emergencies

Do not remove the extra prong in a 3-prong plug to fit them to a 2-prong socket. It is made against ground fault.

Cut branches or transfer trees underneath before they touch the  electric conductors

Do not use indoor extension cords for outdoor use. They cannot stand outdoor elements

Replace worn wires with new ones

Do not employ extension wires often for the same purpose. If needed, install permanent connection

If demanded, employ extension conductors that are intended for outdoor conditions

Do not scale utility poles or make the insulators a target practice for shooting

Use appliances or fixtures with the appropriate safety tag as defined by manufacturing requirements

Do not use appliances in the bathroom, e.g., electric dryer, curler, etc.

If needed, use a long extension cord instead of a series of short ones

Do not fly kites or helium-filled balloons underneath or near power wires

Keep appliances neat and in proper functioning state

Do not pull the wire when disconnecting gadgets from socket. Hold the plug instead.

Report rotten power posts or sagging  conductors to proper agencies

Do not try to fix fallen poles or cut wires. Report them immediately to authorities

Periodically check for loose contacts and retighten or subsiture them

Do not endeavor to remove electric shock victims before opening the power source first.

Report irregular line situations, such as flickering or abnormal from tansformers.

Do not made contact with people or objects stuck to electric lines as they may yet be energized.

Unplug fixtures when servicing them

Do not let electrical cords lie on or near heat source because this might cause melting of insulation

Keep away from transformer banks as well as their fences and heed electrical hazard signage

Do not play with remote-controlled toys, such as helicopter close to power lines
