Necessary Fish Tank/Aquariums Equipment
Setting up new fish tank/aquariums is a simple process, but if you are complete beginner it’s advisable to buy a ready-made tank as your first tank. By providing the opportunity to experience an aquarium and its joys, with considerably lowered risk of tragedies like mass fish death, this can be a good beginner option. Also a ready-made tank avoids issues with leaking or with needing specialized accessories.
Nonetheless, if you don't want to use a ready-made tank, you'll need to know the process of putting together an aquarium. The first step of any undertaking is planning.
You should ask yourself a list of question that will help you be successful as an aquarist. Questions like:
• What is your goal for your fish tank?
• Will it be fresh water or salt water?
• Which fish and plants will you want?
• What does the fish tank type of your choice require in terms of equipment?
Read online articles and other information to discover what equipment is needed for different types of tanks. Investigate the equipment you'll need for your tank by doing a little looking at some directories online.
The Tank Equipmet You Need
Modern all-glass fish tank/aquariums consist of five pieces of glass, four sides and bottom. A pliable and inert silicon sealant holds the pieces together more securely than old aquarium cement used to. See the list of equipment (below), which includes everything you need to put together your fish tank (except for the fish and plans you'll add later).
• Tanks come in two basic styles: high and low. As the name suggests, high tanks are taller (higher), but this means that they do have less surface area.Alternatively, a low fish tank has a greater surface area and is mostly vertical. The high tank is less desirable than then low, because having height is less important than having surface area. You'll need a tank with 25-50 gallons of water in order to reliably support your fish.
• A tank heater. 100 - 150 watt aquarium heater, either semi- or fully-submersible.
• A biological filter.
• A mechanical filter. This is necessary if you are using an under gravel filter. However if a powerful biological filter is used, these are unnecessary.
• An air or water pump.
• Fine gravel or coarse sand.
• Stand for solids.
• Attractive driftwood, rocks, or other decorative items.
• Glass scraper to clean algae.
• Soft aquarium fish net.
• High quality thermometer.
Using just these products for fish tank/aquariums, you have what you need to prepare for the plant and fish life that will bring your tank alive and offer you years of happiness.
bmw 525i 1995 fuel supply problem?
1995 525i, blew fuse 23 to fuel pump, replaced, it starts for 10 seconds, dies. replaced relay, no action, replaced fuel pump run for about 1.5 hours then died, fuel filter, no joy...any ideas? Thanks
Im going to check the DME fuses right now...I really appreciate your help and will reply with results. thanks!
Are you sure that it is (still) a fuel problem at this point after replacing so many parts? Are you sure the tank has fuel? Is there any check engine light? Is there juice at the spark plugs?
Check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail near the fuel pressure regulator as soon as the engine dies or if it does not start after so many tries.
Check also for power at the fuel pump connector. There should be 12 volts for a couple of seconds with you turn the key on (without starting the engine) while the pump primes the system.
When cranking pump should get power continually and boost fuel pressure up to 35 to 45 psi
approximately. And with key off pressure should not get too low (or lower than 8-10 psi) otherwise the pressure regulator is defective. Check for pressure at or near the fuel pressure regulator. See if when removing the fuel tank cap the tank sucks air.
Check also the 5 DME ignition fuses inside the E-box.
After doing the above update your question with your findings and let us take it from there.
