The converted kinetic energy is sent to a grid or a storage unit. It is released from here by means of cables to units utilizing this energy. If any stage has a flaw in its functioning, this is reflected through into a monitoring system. Automatic controls ensure that there are no accidents due to under or over functioning of the parts.

Most sources of power have constant monitoring to ensure smooth functioning. Remote positioning of towers housing these turbines makes it difficult to physically manage the controls. It must be emphasized that all parts of the turbine will only work at their optimum if quality materials are used. Safety is of prime importance and should be built in so that sudden surges do not cause a breakdown.

Built in sensors provide a record of the functioning so that troubleshooting can be done. Also, the blades have to be examined for residues. Any change in the weight on the blades, even due to rain, can affect its optimal functioning.

I need a switch that turns on an LED when it detects a line mic level audio signal?

I have a device that switches audio and video (audio follow) but what I need are tally lights for the video signals. So what I need is a switch (no relays) that will turn on LEDs when it detects a signal from an audio generator. Then the LED will light up to corespond to the video signal.

Op-amps can be used as voltage comparators and switches. As soon as it detects a voltage larger than your specified threshold, it will allow current to flow to the LED.
So, look for basic op-amp circuits for current/voltage switches.
