The Fastest Way To Get To The Max Level With Your Shaman
This Shaman leveling guide is all about the question: Which is the best talent build for my WoW Shaman to level all the way to level 80?
Well, there are actually two answers to this question.
First of all, I urge you to use only the Enhancement talent spec to level your Shaman up to level 60. If you can’t level in the Outlands, using an Elemental spec is a pure waste of time.
Why is that? The reason is, that the Elemental spec is a caster build. It focuses on spells that require a lot of mana. If you want to deal damage to your opponents, you need to spend mana. And the only bonus damage you get is the spell damage bonus from your gear.
And here’s where elemental shamans have a problem. Before you hit level 60 you have a hard time finding any decent gear! Of course, the problem is solved once you visit the Outlands and do quests there to get gear.
In the old world however there are only a few items that are green and they only increase your intelligence. Gear with a spell damage bonus is ultra rare and you will only find it in the auction house or in dungeons.
To sum things up: Until you hit level 60 I urge you to go with the Enhancement build. Once you hit level 60 or so you can just go for your favorite choice.
If that’s not enough to catapult you to the max level, get yourself a class-specific leveling guide. Here’s an example: Mages get a mage leveling guide. Everything is fine unless you confuse leveling and PvP guides.
Do you like fighting in the arena and want to bash your opponents? In this case looking for a class and talent specific PvP guide is still a great idea. Shamans choose a Shaman PvP guide while Warriors would go for a warrior pvp guide or an even more specialized warrior arms pvp guide.
